Mick’s Macs started from a passion born in a culinary school pastry lesson back in 2018. It was a single lesson that changed the projection of my career, and here I am, four years later, navigating the world of French treats. I am a 23 year old Manahawkin local, born and raised here, a culinary school graduate and future graduate from Stockton University. Since starting the business, Mick’s Macs has catered weddings, baby and bridal showers, birthday parties and family holidays. For anyone who isn’t familiar with these delicate little desserts, a macaron is a meringue based almond cookie, that is crisp on the outside and chewy in the middle. Often confused with an Italian macaroon which is a coconut based treat. A box of macs is the perfect party favor, gift for a loved one or after dinner late night snack for a Friday night in.
